On September 20 media group All Media Baltics has renewed its brand portfolio and announced the launch of an innovative digital media platform that will redefine TV viewing experience in the Baltic region. It will deliver high-quality video content on different devices in various forms. TVPlay is the new umbrella brand unifying all products and services offered. Total investment into the new technological platform is estimated to be over 15 million euros.

Less than a year ago, Providence Equity Partners closed the acquisition of MTG’s media assets in the Baltics, announcing plans for major investments with a focus on digital development. The deal gave the new owners control over the leading media companies in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, which were united under the new brand All Media Baltics (AMB). The name of the new holding clearly reflects its ambition – leadership in all media segments.

From now on, all TV channels of media group All Media Baltics in Latvia – TV3, LNT, 3+, TV6, Kanāls 2 – are available in high definition or HD.

There was a truly festive atmosphere at the All Media Baltics (AM Baltics) head offices on Monday, June 18 as a ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the arrival of a new HD mobile television station (MTS).

After all the approvals including positive decision from Latvian Competition council has been received, Providence Equity Partners (Providence) has acquired MTG Free-TV, Pay-TV, digital and radio businesses in Baltic region for 115mio EUR, informed newly appointed Executive Chairman of AM Baltics Pierre Danon.
