TV3 Group, leading media group in Baltics, announces acquisition of the radio station Top Radio in Latvia, expanding the Russian-speaking audience in the group’s portfolio, as well as strengthening its common position in the market.
The radio station Star FM is already operating within the TV3 Group, to which the Russian-language radio station Top radio is now being added, which has convincingly won the trust of the audience and is the market leader in its target group.
“TV3 Group” provides advertisers with a stable audience in their target groups, so we are pleased that with the expansion of the radio portfolio, we will be able to offer advertisers not only Latvian-speaking radio listeners, but also Russian-speaking listeners in Latvia. Locally produced audio content is the future, so we’re confident that the tandem of Star FM and Top radio will become a powerful tool for advertisers, offering a variety of creative and locally designed ad campaign solutions for products aimed at reaching audiences via radio,“ said the head of TV3 Group in Latvia Mindaugas Rakauskas.
Total weekly audience of Top radio and Star FM in the age group of 16 to 74 years is 465,000 listeners or 30.2%, thus the audience of TV3 Group radio listeners will increase by 163,000 per week, doubling the share of listening time from 4.9% to 9.7%.
“We are happy and honored to welcome Top Radio to our media family, which will significantly add to TV3 Group’s media portfolio. Top Radio will maintain its current operating format, developing its content, using the opportunities provided by multiplatforms and establishing cooperation with other products of the group. It will be an opportunity for our partners to reach an even wider audience,” added TV3 Group’s radio director Brita Barone.
